The mission of Kids of Glory
God’s desire – and our own – is to teach children to spend time with God, so that they may discover just how alive and powerful He is. Children should not only hear about God, but also meet Him personally, so that they themselves may experience His power and live with Him day by day. Let us see our children as God sees them, and join us on a journey to discover what God can and will do in and through your children.
How to use the Prayer Box
The Prayer Box is a practical guide to teaching children how to pray. We want to teach our children that the best place to be is with Jesus. It is so good to introduce our children to ‘quiet time’ from an early age: spending time with God. There are all sorts of ways to do this. We have developed this box to help children learn how to spend this time with God. Children want to experience, feel, touch and hold things. They can do just that with all the items included in the box. This makes it very appealing for children to be in God’s presence.
Who is the prayer box for?
We have created this box for primary school-aged children. To begin with, you’ll pray together with your child. Eventually, your child will be able to do this on their own. The box contains 21 items. Each item comes with an information card, which lists the item, a Bible verse and some prayer tips. You can also choose to read the relevant Bible passage yourself or find songs to go with it.
How the Prayer Box came up
We have all been given the Royal Commission to bring heaven to earth. This is the desire we spread.
‘And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
