De manier waarop we elkaar leerden kennen is creatief door God geleid. Rieneke en Ellie zijn al lange tijd met elkaar bevriend en trekken als jonge gezinnen veel met elkaar op. Geraakt door hoe Jezus omgaat met kinderen en vanuit  diep verlangen jonge kinderen bekend te maken met Jezus, ontstond de Gebedsbox die we samen ontwikkelden, om onze kinderen mee te nemen in wandel met Hem. We merkten de impact op hen en ontwikkelden de box door, verlangend tot zegen te zijn voor vele andere gezinnen. Martin verlangde er naar om zijn talenten in te zetten voor de Gebedsbox, omdat hij van dichtbij ziet hoe God werkt door de Gebedsbox heen, en hierin graag tot zegen is.
Rieneke werkt als leerkracht op de school waar de kinderen van Johan naar toe gaan en zij ontmoetten elkaar en spraken over de Gebedsbox.  Johan kreeg een box te leen om met zijn kinderen mee aan de slag te gaan. Dit maakte zo'n indruk op hen, dat hij besloot mede teamlid te worden. Johan is een inspirator en diep verbonden met de Heer en vol passie om Zijn Koninkrijk te verbreiden. Thorsten en Ellie ontmoeten elkaar voor een gesprek. Dit was zonder twijfel door de Heer geleid. Het idee van de gebedsbox is in zijn hart geland. In de loop van de tijd hebben we besloten om samen de "stichting Kids of Glory" op te richten.

My name is Ellie; I’m married to Martin and together we have two children, Lukas and Lieke. In my day job, I work as a support worker for young people with mild intellectual disabilities in the care sector. I love the outdoors (gardening, walking), sport and reading. I also enjoy being creative. I love bringing the ideas in my head to life. That’s how it all started with the prayer box. I’m always so impressed by the way Jesus interacts with children! That’s why it’s my deepest desire to bless others with the prayer box.

My name is Martin; I’m married to Ellie and am the father of Lukas and Lieke. I really enjoy working in IT. In my spare time, I like to go out and about with the children, play sport and read. I’ve witnessed the creation of the prayer box first-hand, and I’m grateful to now be part of the team helping to spread the word. I pray that it will be a blessing to many.

My name is Johan and I’m married to Hannah. We have four wonderful children. Five years ago, we set up the Justice House of Prayer Foundation. This is where a large part of my calling is realised: that people should spend plenty of time with Jesus! The mission of this house of prayer in The Hague is to worship God 24/7, and to pray for one another and for the city. I also visit business owners a few times a week to pray and prophesy. In everyday life, I find it quite difficult to teach my children to pray. The Prayer Box gives me a practical tool to put this into practice. My desire is for children to learn to understand God’s voice from a very young age and to develop a rich prayer life.

My name is Rieneke Pieterse. Children hold a special place in my heart! My husband André and I are foster parents to two boys and two girls aged between 8 and 13. Soon, the six of us will be embarking on a new adventure and becoming a family home. One day a week, I work as a nursery teacher in The Hague. Ever since our children were toddlers, Ellie and I have been coming up with ideas to help them get to know Jesus. Because I believe that engaging as many senses as possible enhances the experience for children, I’m absolutely thrilled about the prayer box!

My name is Thorsten; I am the father of two children and live with my partner and her son as part of a blended family. I am an entrepreneur and run my business according to biblical wisdom, putting Jesus first in that too. I love everything that nature has to offer and help people to incorporate healthy habits into their lives. My hope is that children will discover the love of Jesus in their everyday lives and, as a result, be a blessing to those around them.
